Assessment for All

After this week's readings on the importance of assessment, I look forward to lecture. Throughout the week when we work on assessments, I will keep our key questions in mind:

1) What is the difference between formative and summative assessment? 2) Why assess learning? What is the purpose?

Keeping these questions in mind, I have 3 questions from the readings:

1) For your future school administrators

When you check your teacher's assessments, what do you look for? Do you like more short answer and essays or multiple choice and matching?

2) For your cooperating teacher and/or university supervisor

What are some methods you use for evaluating SAE's? What is a must-have section on a rubric for SAE?

3) For one of your current virtual mentors (be specific!) and/or your cohort

From the reading, I found that teachers are supposed to grade exams by the same question for all students. Do you follow that method or do you grade the exams by students?
