Here are Week 12's Essential Questions:

1) Why does literacy strategies matter in ag class? 2) How do we connect literacy skills to IBI?

This week, we read the importance of different literacy strategies. With so many different literacy strategies, we were asked to focus on one. I chose to view the prediction relay literacy strategy. In this example, students take turns being the "coach" and "player" in reading a passage back and forth. When students read a page, they will take a break to check for understanding. When I start teaching, I will work to use the prediction relay in the classroom if we are doing reading from the textbook.

Identify three questions from reading:

1) For your future students

How long of a reading do you find helpful before it turns boring?

2) For your cooperating teacher and/or university supervisor

Have you ever tried the prediction relay literacy strategy? How did it work in your classroom?

3) For one of your cohort

What was your favorite literacy strategy you researched?
